Dollies

Paper dolls are great fun to make for an afternoon or a lifetime.

Here are a few that came to be yesterday:

Sizzix dolls, bunny and the rest are made-up by yours truly. I really like the outfits that the tourists are wearing.

One is Better with Another! (Slice and Sizzix)

The three year old had his birthday this past Saturday. It has been a happy and busy few days.

Sometimes I envy the creatives who have perfect looking rooms to create in. But then I remember that my organizing and housekeeping skills are lacking. None the less, my studio is my happiness.

Friday's Money is No Object - on Saturday

I realize now, that if money was no object, I'd buy more sleep time.

Yesterday we delivered 14 hand-created boxes to T's class. I enjoyed making these very much! I used the Sizzix take-out box die with the Archaic papers from Basic Grey. Each child's initials are on the boxes. What's inside for a bunch of 3 year olds? A small pot of Play-Doh, a noisemaker, a dinosaur tattoo and a box of raisins.

National Night Out

We had a National Night Out gathering here in our neighborhood. So nice to meet the people who protect us from harm, whether from fire or our own silly selves ; )

The boys saw a fire truck, a fire rescue team, a motorcyle cop and the Chief of Police for the county (very large county).

I recently purchased an XL Sizzix die and am so very pleased with it! It's the box designed like a Chinese take-out box. Our oldest son is having a birthday and so I made 18 of them for his class. When they are done I'll post, but for now I'll put up a link to the die.

Interesting note: Memory Makers, the soon-to-be defunct magazine, has partnered with Northridge Media to fulfill subscribers' orders left hanging (hello). Scrapbook Update reported it in the newsletter (thank you!). They will be filling with digital editions. I perused a few copies and it's a nice gesture, but, well, nothing can fully replace the pulp copies (call me old-fashioned).
